Free eBook: Five Steps to a More Peaceful Life

I am excited to present a free ebook that might just change your life! I have dedicated a large portion of my time the last year and a half to finding a more peaceful life, and have decided to share some of the important things I learned along the way. I discovered five main steps that I want to share with you.

Why is this free? It’s my way of paying it forward. We all deserve peaceful and fulfilling lives. It is my mission to start actively doing what I can to promote more peace for myself and the world. The first step is putting this book out there for whomever it might resonate with.

Please feel free to download for yourself, or to share. If we want to make real change in the world, we first must start with ourselves.

Enjoy!

Book Review: Digging Deep Within

Digging Deep Within: A Story of Courage and Liberation by B.W. McKay is available at Amazon in paper back and on Kindle.

I have been picking some indie authors to read and review their books, and when this title was suggested to me I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not. It did take a few chapters for me to get into the book, but about a third of the way through, I found myself captivated by the life and circumstances of Corey Brookshire.

This book follows the story of a black man from Washington D.C. who struggles to become a success at his current job, but quickly realizes that the job of his dreams isn’t what he wanted. He does a lot of soul searching to discover more about himself and how to come to terms with some significant life events. As the story closes, Corey has to make some tough choices about his future.

I really found this story to be incredibly heart-felt and uplifting as I followed Corey through his struggles. It reminded me so much of some of my own and how I’ve tried to find ways to heal. Corey didn’t shy away from the hard stuff as he sought healing. I found that the most inspirational. It’s not easy to face the dark parts of ourselves. It’s so refreshing to see Mr. McKay tackle such a tough subject, and in doing so encouraging other people to heal themselves too.

If you are looking for an inspirational and uplifting story, this is the book for you!

The Magic of Reading

unnamedBooks. They amaze me. They captivate me. They are true magic. Imagine this.

You get a new book to read because someone recommended it to you, or the cover just looks freaking awesome, or it’s a promising jewel you happened to stumble upon. It sits there in your lap eager to be read, but the cover, the title, the words splashed across the pages are meaningless. It’s just a book. Like all the other books taking up space on the bookshelf. But you open the cover and begin to read anyways, because it’s calling to you. There’s this pull to open it you can’t quite explain. So you do and you begin to read it.

Book Review: The Deaths of Tao by Wesley Chu

The Deaths of Tao by Wesley Chu is available on Kindle and in Paperback.

deaths-of-taoThis is a freaking awesome book! A must read for science fiction and action-packed loving readers. The author had me from page one as we see Roen and Jill three years after The Lives of Tao and things are completely different. In fact, I’m quite shocked at how different things are and I just wanted to read to figure out how things got so messed up in the three years since we saw Roen, Tao, and Jill.

The incredible character arcs are heart-tugging as a clearer picture unfolds of the missing three years as the story progresses. The Prophus may have won the battle, but the Gengix are determined to win the war and Earth to boot. Things get dark and deep fast as the Gengix’s plan unfolds. Roen and Tao make huge sacrifices in an attempt to stop the catastrophic plan.
