Yoga Videos

I love yoga. I love yoga so much that after ten years of practice, I decided to completed a 200 hour yoga instructor class. Now I can teach yoga! I think staying active is important, especially for writers (or those who sit for long periods). So I have created some yoga routines to get you moving. Enjoy!

An Introduction To Yoga is an 18 minute videos talking about the basics of yoga, including why yoga mats are useful, basic benefits of yoga, how to use breath in yoga, how long to practice yoga, and more!

Yoga for Beginners is a 29 minute video that is a great well-balanced routine for those either first starting in yoga, or would like a gentler routine. A yoga block is used in this routine.

Chair Yoga For Beginners is a 21 minute video using a chair to stretch. This can be useful in an office setting, in a place that doesn’t have much space to stretch out, or someone looking to do yoga without getting down on the floor. Two chairs are used in this routine.

Yoga for Writers is a routine I put together specifically for writers, or those who sit for long periods of time. These poses specifically help to strengthen wrists, arms, shoulders, while creating more flexibility in back and hips. Part 1 is 27 minutes long, and part 2 is 17 minutes long for a total of a 44 minute routine. A yoga block and rolled blanket is used in this routine.

Yoga for the Lower Back is a 25 minute video targeting the lower back for those with tightness or pain in that area. These poses provide more flexibility and stretch in the lower back, hips, and groin area. A rolled blanket and yoga strap are used in this routine.

Yoga for Inner Strength is a 27 minute video using poses to create more inner strength. This routine helps to create more strength and stretch in the arms, wrists, shoulders, and upper back. A yoga block and rolled blanker are used in this routine.

Yoga For Feeling Love and Compassion is a 29 minute video that helps open the heart chakra and invites in more love and compassion for yourself and others. This routine also is good for stretching and strengthening the back and upper body. Three yoga blocks and/or a blanket, and a yoga strap are used in this routine.

Yoga For Feeling Confident and Empowered is a 25 minute long video that helps to enhance strength and steadiness. This routine also helps to strength arms and legs, and is good for working to increasing balance. Two yoga blocks are used in this routine.

Yoga For Relaxing To Sleep Or Help With Insomnia is a 26 minute video geared to enhance relaxation of body and mind enough to get some sleep. These poses are meant to draw attention to the mind and breath, so to release anxiety and the thoughts of an overactive mind in order to get a good night’s rest. You can use this routine every once in awhile to relax to get sleep, or do this routine on a regular basis to help with insomnia. One yoga block or rolled blanket is used in this routine.

Restorative Yoga For Deep Relaxation is a 26 minute video made to help you reach a much deeper state of relaxation. There are only a few poses, but each are held for a long period of time (5 to 20 minutes each) with added support to help active the parasympathetic nervous system. Watch this routine to discover how you can create your own self-care routine that will help reduce your stress in an easy and restful way. Do this routine on a regular basis (once a week or more) to have best results. A rolled blanket, a pillow, extra blanket, and 3 yoga blocks (optional) are used in this routine.
