Brand New! I Am Now Offering Self-Care Coaching Services

Self-Care has been a big topic for me for the past year. I have dedicated a lot of time and energy to taking care of myself, being more aware of how I feel about pretty much everything, and making new choices that fall inline with what actually matters to me. In doing this, I have significantly changed my life for the better.

How do I know this? Because not only have I healed unresolved childhood trauma, moved past significant personal blocks, but I also feel good most days (instead of feeling bad most days like I used to). I have even gotten to the point where I am excited about the idea of stepping forward to start helping others develop their own self-care paths too.

Becoming a self-care coach has been something I have been thinking about for a little while now, but the time never seemed right. Recently, a series of events made me realize that it was time to reconsider becoming a coach. One of those events was my husband out of the blue having a rapid decline in health that required an emergency hospital visit.

Thankfully, my husband took his health scare seriously, and even while he was still in the hospital started making the mental changes to take much better care of himself. He’s been home almost a week now, and I’ve seen a major improvement in his health and the way he’s getting serious about his own self-care. While it was not an experience any of our family would like to relive, it has been a major blessing in disguise. It reminded our whole family of the importance of self-care, and that all my own self-care practice really paid off as I was able to deal with the situation better than I ever thought possible.

Now I have a real desire to help others take their self-care seriously, because I know that there are other people out there that are tired of feeling bad all the time, who want better physical and/or mental health, and who just want a better life overall for themselves. Maybe that someone is you, or maybe you know someone who does.

So what exactly am I referring about when I talk about self-care? I’m not just talking about proper hygiene, eating right, or getting regular exercise. While those things are definitely part of a good self-care practice, my approach to self-care is about a total mental and lifestyle change. It’s about making the choice to be kind to yourself in all ways and in all situations, and being aware of how you feel. It’s about showing yourself absolute compassion, and setting boundaries to things, people, or situations that are tearing you down.

Self-care is also reminding ourselves that we aren’t broken. There is nothing that needs to be fixed. We learn to love ourselves just as we are. So in a good and dedicated self-care practice, we do things that feel good and uplift us, and help us feel better about ourselves in every way. And through all that time we spend on ourselves, we build a strong foundation that stands in the truth of who we are and all that we can be.

If you are interested in beginning this kind of dedicated practice of self-love, then please consider me as a coach.

Right now, I am offering a free 30 minute consultation to everyone. Come talk to me. Tell me about yourself. Tell me about what sort of self-care practice you’ve already been working on. Tell me how you want to improve yourself, or personal goals you want to achieve. Tell me about any personal blocks or deep healing you feel you need. Let me help you, help yourself.

If this is something you are interested in, you can contact me, or head over to my Self-Care Coaching Service page to learn more about my one-to-one coaching and other specialized coaching/training. I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s do this!

Also, my Etsy shop does offer a Self-Care Workbook to help get you in the mindset of self-care. I also have several Self-Care Digital and Printable Journals as well!

  1. Cynthia…..I am so proud of you and wish you the best in this next life adventure …you are simply amazing. This took me a very long time to find my heaven on earth but I do know it took me a long time to be kind to myself when most of my life was spent making sure everyone else was cared for and happy that there wasn’t much time for me…. Also my biggest discovery was that not everyone was going to like me no matter what I did…..I am almost 72 and wish I had known this many many years ago…it took me retiring and realizing after my first year that my life wasn’t just about work and family and pleasing everyone…so I am so much happier now that I do put myself first most of the time and no I don’t do it all the time …..still working on me too but I did do a lot of soul searching and praying for guidance and consider myself a work in progress….
I hope hubby is doing better and can’t imagine how Caleb has grown into a fine young man.
Take care and sending you love and hugs!!

    1. Wow! Thanks, Becky. It’s so good to hear from you, and here you are putting your retirement to good use. Yes, it’s so important to put ourselves first, and unfortunately the “normal” is usually to tire ourselves out working and putting everyone else first. Glad to hear you got off that endless cycle.

Yes, Dean has been doing very well. He’s been home from the hospital after spending a week there. It was pretty crazy and scary for awhile, but he is doing sooooo much better, and his head is in the right place now. That’s what counts. Caleb and I are just very glad to have him home again. We missed him.
